Shoppers describe their needs in natural language: sleep position (side, back, stomach, combination), pain areas (lower back, shoulders, hips), heat sensitivity, partner disturbance, weight range, and budget. No forms — just conversation.

Each mattress in our database is scored across 12+ attributes: firmness (1–10 scale), construction type (pocket spring, foam, hybrid, latex), edge support, motion isolation, cooling technology, warranty length, and price per tier. Scores are normalised across retailers for fair comparison.

The shopper's sleep profile is compared against every normalised product. The engine weights criteria based on the shopper's stated priorities — a side sleeper with hip pain gets different weights than a hot-sleeping couple on a budget. Top matches are ranked by fit score (0–100).
